Turn On or Off Screen Light on Fossil Hybrid HR
The Fossil Hybrid HR series is a different category altogether. Hybrid in nature, these smartwatches use e-ink displays for maximum battery life and can last for days on a single charge. While the time needles have radium and are visible at night, it can be hard to see what’s on display in low-light environments.
Thankfully, Fossil has included a backlight for these situations. Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Press the Middle button on your Fossil Hybrid HR.
Step 2: Once the menu opens, select Settings. Use the top and bottom buttons to scroll up or down and the Middle button to make the selection.
Step 3: In Settings, scroll down and select the Bulb icon.
Step 4: Clicking the Middle button will turn on or off the front light.
It will show you the current status as “Front Light ON” or “Front Light OFF.”
Using Screen Backlight on Fossil Hybrid HR
All you need to do is double-tap the watch glass to activate the light. You should tap the area over the screen- the center part. Also, ensure you’re tapping hard enough as it does not turn on every time. Once you activate the light, it stays on for about four seconds. Unfortunately, you cannot customize the light duration yet.
