Does Redmi Watch 2 Lite Have Better Display Than Realme Watch 2 Pro?

The Realme Watch 2 Pro has a bigger 1.75-inch IPS display compared to the Redmi Watch 2 Lite’s 1.55-inch TFT display. Despite having a slightly lower resolution, the pixel density is higher on the Redmi Watch 2 Lite due to the smaller screen size.

In real-life usage, the display of both smartwatches looks quite good in terms of colors, brightness, and sharpness. Also, the display of the Realme Watch 2 Pro is bigger, so the text and icons are bigger and more accessible.

The bezels and chin on both smartwatches are almost equal according to their screen sizes. That said, then the Realme Watch 2 Pro has a slightly smoother display than the Redmi Watch 2 Lite due to fluid transition and animations.

Overall, the display of both smartwatches is good enough to use in any condition, but we prefer Realme Watch 2 Pro’s display because of its big screen size and smoother experience.

Realme Watch 2 Pro or Redmi Watch 2 Lite – Which has a Better Build Quality?

The build quality is totally different in both smartwatches. Both are made of plastic material but the Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a rubber plastic build. On the other hand, the Realme Watch 2 Pro has a glossy plastic build.

Both smartwatches have a Plastic Side button with decent tactility.

The Realme Watch 2 Pro has a bigger dial with curved edges and 2.5D glass on the screen. On the other hand, the Redmi Watch has a flat edge design with 2.5D glass.

Also, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite is slightly lighter at 36grams vis-a-vis the former’s 42gram weight. That said, neither of the smartwatches feels heavy on the wrist.

The sensors at the back of both watches are embedded under a piece of glossy plastic and fit snugly when worn tightly. Bot the material is skin-friendly so it does not feel irritating on the skin.

Moving further, both the watches have TPU straps with a rubber finish. The Realme Watch 2 Pro’s strap is easily removable and allows you to put the smartwatch on a flat surface, whereas, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite’s strap has a different kind of lock system and it cannot sit on flat.

Overall, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a build and design but the Realme Watch takes the lead when it comes to the strap quality.

Which is Better for Health and Activity Tracking?

Both smartwatches pack all essential features in terms of health and activity tracking. The Redmi Watch 2 Lite comes with over 100 sports modes whereas, the Realme Watch 2 Pro comes with 90 sports modes.

You can add or remove different sports modes from the app of both smartwatches. On Redmi Watch, you can also do it directly on the watch.

Both smartwatches have built-in GPS. When you start working out after enabling it, these watches track better steps, distance, and calories due to more accurate data with GPS.

Both smartwatches feature continuous heart rate and blood oxygen tracking. Both have dedicated SpO2 sensors for better accuracy.

We tested heart rate and SpO2 multiple times and both watches were showing almost similar data. Neither of the watches reports false heart rate or blood oxygen data.

Rest, you get all other features as well like sleep tracking, stress monitoring, and breathing exercises. Health notifications like drink reminders, sedentary reminders can be enabled directly on Realme Watch 2 Pro whereas you have to enable it from the app on the Redmi Watch 2 Lite.

Redmi Watch 2 Lite vs Realme Watch 2 Pro – Which Has More Features?

In terms of productivity features, both smartwatches are giving tough competition to each other. Features like alarms, stopwatch, timer, weather, music control, camera control, find my phone, and flashlight is available in both smartwatches.

Coming to the differences, the Realme Watch 2 Pro can be connected to Realme’s other AIoT products directly like TWS, speakers, etc. On the other hand, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a built-in compass and a PIN lock feature.

Overall, both smartwatches are feature-packed and there are not many compromises on any smartwatch.

Mobile App Experience: Mi Fitness vs Realme Link

Both the Redmi Watch 2 Lite and Realme Watch 2 Pro can be controlled with your phone through compatible apps. The Redmi Watch 2 Lite uses Mi Fitness while the Realme Watch 2 Pro uses Realme Link as its companion app.

Talking about Mi Fitness, it has a very appealing and attractive homepage with some interesting animations. You can see all your activity and health data on the homepage of the app. The app has a simple and easy-to-use layout.

Furthermore, you can control the watch features and settings in the profile section. You can change watch faces, enable notifications, enable health-monitoring features, and update the watch from the app itself.

On the other hand, the Realme Link app looks quite confusing on the home page. It has several sections at the bottom including a Shopping tab which I think should not be there.

You can check the connected device on the home screen and when you click on the device name, you will be able to control its features and settings.

Just like the Mi Fitness app, you can change watch faces, enable notifications, set health reminders, use additional features, and update the watch directly from the app. The layout of the device section is clean and simple but the text size is smaller which may bother you.

At last, we would say that both apps are easy to use and functional. You can do most of the things through the apps.

Redmi Watch 2 Lite vs Realme Watch 2 Pro – Battery Life and Charging

The Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a 225mAh battery whereas, Realme Watch 2 Pro has a 390mAh battery. As per numbers, the Realme Watch 2 Pro wins the game on paper and the same is the case in reality.

As per the brand’s claims, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite can give up to 10 days of backup in typical usage and the Realme Watch 2 Pro can give up to 2 weeks of backup in a single charge.

In our usage, we tested both smartwatches in level 3 of brightness with all notifications enabled and also the continuous heart rate. On the Realme Watch 2 Pro, we got around 10-11 days of backup and around 7 days backup on the Redmi Watch 2 Lite.

Neither of the two smartwatches features fast charging. The Realme Watch 2 Pro has a circular magnetic charger that looks more premium and has a better build, whereas, the Redmi Watch 2 Lite has a POGO pin magnetic charger.

It takes around 2.5 hours to fully charge the Realme Watch 2 Pro and around 2 hours to fully charge the Redmi Watch 2 Lite.

Both smartwatches have done a good job in terms of battery backup but as for the longer running time, the Realme Watch 2 Pro is straight away the winner.
