Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: Design and Build Quality

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go comes with a square dial with a nice golden finish all over. The screen glass cover has curved edges to make it easier to use. The watch got a small bump at the back which includes all the sensors, followed by the charging connectors. The watch got one button on the side which acts as a home button for the user interface.

The straps of the Noise ColorFit Caliber Go are made of silicone but these are not as soft as I expected them to be. Despite that, the straps felt pretty good on the skin and provided a snug fit on the wrist. The straps are removable but you cannot use any aftermarket straps with this watch as it uses a proprietary locking mechanism.

The build quality on the other hand is not very impressive, the smartwatch casing is made of polycarbonate and is prone to scratches and dents. The buckle on the straps is made of polycarbonate too so you need to be a bit careful while putting the watch on or off.

One impressive feature this smartwatch got is the IP68 water resistance which means you can bring it with you inside the pool as well.

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: Display

The ColorFit Caliber Go comes with a big 1.69 inches TFT display with 240 x 280 resolution and 218 PPI pixel density. Noise claims that this display can get as bright as 500 nits which are quite impressive for a smartwatch at this price. The cover glass is also pretty nice and gives a pretty smooth experience navigating the watch.

When comes to the watch faces, you can use the limited options available on the app. Or you can use an image from your phone’s gallery as a custom watch face. It has some thick bezels around the display and the significantly noticeable chin steals away the modern look of the smartwatch.

Overall the display quality is decent and is pretty well done by Noise on this watch at this price range.

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: Watch Features

The ColorFit Caliber Go smartwatch comes with a proprietary OS with a pretty generic user interface. There are five widgets that you can access by swiping across the display and these are not customizable. Swiping down from the top edge brings up notifications and swiping from the bottom edge brings up the quick settings.

The main menu can be accessed by the side button and here rests all the major settings including Noise Health. It comes with a lot of health-related features like 24×7 heart rate monitoring, SpO2, stress monitoring, sleep tracking, and activity tracker. It comes with 40 sports modes as well; 10 modes are built into the watch and the other 30 can be found in the app.

It comes with some smart features that you don’t find in smartwatches at this price. You get to control your music and volume from the watch and you can even use it as a camera shutter for your smartphone. You get call alerts and notification alerts as well, the best part is that you can quickly reply to calls or text messages.

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: App Experience

The app is called NoiseFit app and I have a few complaints about the app experience. The moment you open the app, you see promotional material hogging half the screen. What we should be seeing instead on the top is the health overview. Then there is an Explore and a Shop tab which I think is unnecessary in a fitness app.

I don’t only have complaints, there are some positive points too. For instance, the app comes with a lot of customization features that you don’t see in the competition. The notification alters can be customized to a very minuscule level so you don’t see un-needed notifications on your wrist. There is also Google Fit integration which is pretty nice to see always.

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: Performance

Even though this watch comes with all the health-related features, the fluctuations are what ticked me off. All the sensors and health-related features work well but the fluctuations in the readings are way more than I expected. The pedometer worked as intended and I found that the SpO2 readings are also not to complain about.

Comparing the watch sensors to an Oximeter showed almost similar results. The watch measured the heart rate to be 65BPM while the Oximeter measured it to 68BPM. The SpO2 came out to be 96% to 97% in the watch while the Oximeter measured it to be 98%. Looking at these results, the sensors are nearly accurate but there are some real-time fluctuations.

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: Battery & Charging

The battery on this ColorFit Caliber GO is 300 mAh and it stays true to the brand claims which is up to 10 days. It comes with a magnetic charger which is always a plus and it takes about 2 to 3 hours to charge completely to 100 percent. The smartwatch performed perfectly in all situations and the user interface is also surprisingly pretty good.

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go: Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Bright display
  • Snug fit, thanks to silicon straps
  • Looks great
  • Reminder alerts
  • Pretty accurate sensors
  • Quick reply feature
  • Long-lasting battery

Cons

  • Thick bezels and Chin on display
  • Polycarbonate build, even the buckle
  • Cannot use aftermarket straps
  • App experience is not the best

Noise ColorFit Caliber Go Review: Verdict

Summing up the review, Noise ColorFit Caliber Go is an overall good smartwatch for the price it’s coming for. At Rs 1,500 introductory price, I can easily recommend this watch because it does comes with some features you don’t see on other budget smartwatches. Even at the regular price of Rs. 2,000, you can go for this smartwatch but you have to keep the polycarbonate build in mind.
